Términos de uso

These terms govern the TWYN desktop app, the phone camera page, the website and the TWYN online services (accounts, friends, lobbies, payments). By using TWYN you accept them.

1. The service

TWYN turns a phone into a webcam for a Windows PC, combines several cameras and voices into a virtual camera (“TWYN Camera”) and a virtual microphone, and lets people meet in lobbies. Video and audio travel directly between participants’ devices; TWYN does not record them.

2. Who can use TWYN

You must be at least 15 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to use online services without parental consent, otherwise you need permission from a parent. You are responsible for respecting the rules of the apps and sites you use TWYN with (for example ome.tv, Discord or Zoom), including their age limits.

3. Your account

You can sign in with Discord, Google or your email address. Keep access to your account secure. You can delete your account at any time from the app (Settings › Account).

4. Acceptable use

Do not use TWYN to break the law, to harass, threaten or spy on people, to show anyone on camera without their consent, to share sexual content involving minors, or to attack or overload our services. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. TWYN Pro

TWYN Pro is a subscription billed monthly or yearly. Payments are processed by Polar Software Inc. (polar.sh), acting as merchant of record: Polar sells the subscription to you and issues the invoice, and its own terms also apply. A free trial may be offered once per person; a card is required and you are charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel before. You can cancel at any time from the app (Settings › TWYN Pro › Manage subscription); Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow Polar’s policy and the law that applies to you. Free Pro days from referrals or a creator programme are a gift and may end if they are abused.

6. Licence

TWYN is licensed to you for personal use, not sold. You may not copy, modify, resell or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it. Third-party components keep their own licences (see the app’s About page). VB-CABLE is software by VB-Audio Software, downloaded from its publisher and covered by its own terms.

7. Availability and liability

We work to keep TWYN reliable but it is provided “as is”, without guarantee that it will always be available or fit a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid for TWYN in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.

8. Changes

We may update TWYN and these terms. Important changes are announced in the app or on this site before they apply. If you disagree, you can stop using TWYN and delete your account.

9. Law

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country. Contact us first through the contact page; you may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform.
