Is TWYN free?
Yes. The free plan covers the phone camera, the PC webcam, lobbies of 2 (30 minutes per session), the virtual camera and microphone, clips and recording. Pro adds 4-person lobbies with no time limit, 1080p 60, effects, soundboard and voice changer.
How do I use my phone as a webcam?
Install TWYN on your PC, open Phone camera and scan the QR code with your phone. The page that opens streams your camera to the PC. Then pick “TWYN Camera” as webcam in any app.
How do two people appear on one camera on ome.tv?
Start a lobby in TWYN and send the code to your friend, who joins from their own PC. Both cameras are combined into TWYN Camera and both voices into the CABLE Output microphone. In ome.tv, choose those two devices.
Does my friend need the app?
Yes, for lobbies: each person joins from the TWYN app on their PC. The phone camera mode only needs a browser on the phone.
Which apps work with TWYN Camera?
Any Windows app that lets you choose a webcam: ome.tv and other video chat sites, Discord, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, OBS Studio, Skype and more.
Is it safe? Do you record anything?
Video and audio go directly between your devices with encrypted WebRTC. TWYN never records them. Pro users can use a relay when a direct path is blocked; it only forwards encrypted traffic.
Mac or Linux?
TWYN is for Windows 10 and 11 for now. Your phone (iPhone or Android) works as the camera.
What is “CABLE Output”?
It is the virtual microphone of VB-CABLE, a free driver by VB-Audio. TWYN installs it for you in one click and sends your voice, your lobby and your sounds into it.
